When you are 4, a season cut short due to injury especially deserves recognition so we headed to the final game of Luke's soccer team as a pizza party and trophy ceremony were to follow. The kids were all happy to see him and marveled at his cast. Coach Eric even let him play even though he wasn't dressed quite appropriately.
Before we had left Luke wondered whether he'd get to go on stage to get his trophy. Fortunately the a large soccer goal was a suitable backdrop while Coach said some fitting words for each player. Will he try soccer again? Luke insists he wants to play football instead.
