A Fond Farewell

Yesterday was our nanny, Katie's last day! She has been going to night school to be a 7th/8th grade teacher and she surprisingly got a placement in the school she herself attended way ahead of schedule. Of course given the economy and all sorts of other things, she needed to take advantage of it. We are sad to see her go. It was an emotional goodbye as we had dinner out together at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse. She's been terrifically patient with our boys and was hands on in many of Mitchell's therapy sessions. We wish her the best!
We are fortunate that starting next week a good friend's niece is available to watch the boys during her own break from school.
Our new permanent nanny starts late August. We met her through our church small group and so we already know her heart is wide and deep.
We know there's been a few caregivers in the boys lives, but each person who comes into all of our lives for a season has been there for a reason. (Which reminds me in case our past babysitter K now in Cleveland stops by to read...Congratulations, we've heard you've had twins. How wonderful!!!!)
So, Katie - thanks for being such a great "employee", but more than that a great part of our family for the past year!

Thinking of you today and hoping Mitchie is enjoying this cooler weather...here's hoping this weather stays for a while.
