Luke's Out for the Summer

Today was Luke's last official day of preschool. He brought home some very interesting and pleasing things -
  1. A CD of pictures just of Luke taken by the teachers throughout the year. I've included some for you to see.
  2. A report card - The teachers say, "It's been enjoyable to see Luke grow in self-confidence and maturity throughout the year." It was noted he always participates in music and art exercises and is always appropriate socially and emotionally. His fine motor skills are developing and they are glad Luke will be starting biweekly speech therapy classes soon. Overall, much to be proud about!
  3. A booklet of yoga poses for us to do at home, the cover of which shows Luke in his favorite yoga position "Down Dog". Who knew?
  4. Instructions for exercises to do with Luke throughout the summer before returning for pre-k class.

Recently it dawned on Chris and me that as Luke was born in August, a decision will need to be made whether he'll start kindergarten before he turns 5 or after. Probability alone makes it likely he'll wait another year because he's a boy, but we'll see as time goes on. At this point, we are so happy he had a great first year at his very special preschool. http://www.creativetots.com/
