Friday night we went to Jump Zone, a nearby bounce house. It was an open play night and Luke was delighted. Since we met Daddy there, Luke and I drove home separately to pick up a gift at Walmart for Pop Pop. Luke found something he liked...Batman PJs that have a Velcro cape. While I didn't have much luck taking a picture of him in the outfit, he wore them every night of the weekend and didn't take them off all Monday! He kept saying, "Never fear, Batman is here."
On Saturday, we took Luke to his second and Mitchell to his first Reds baseball game. It was also a first for us to take out Mitchell's new-to-us wheelchair. We decided to purchase a used Kimba brand wheelchair from the same family who sent us the gait trainer. The appeal being that this one, unlike the one we have on order, folds down more like a stroller. Since it hasn't been precisely fitted for Mitchie yet, we haven't perfected having him in it. No doubt increased side support is a big improvement over our regular stroller. And eventually having 2 wheelchairs will give us flexibility. Maybe one will stay in the house and the one that folds down may be the one we take out. We'll see. (By the way, we lasted in our seats through the 3rd inning which could be considered the 5th inning because they were LONG innings!)
On Sunday Pop Pop invited us to his birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. Together Pop Pop and Luke played all sorts of games and rides. What a cool grandpa to choose to celebrate at such a kid-friendly, fun place!
We actually fit more in like haircuts, a pedicure for Mommy, lunch with a friend, church and more. Just fun to spend so much time together!
